Bridgewater Retirement Community opened its doors in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley in 1965, welcoming families of all walks of life with open arms and open hearts. To ensure their residents can have the best possible quality of life, Bridgewater handles all home maintenance and yard work, provides on-site services like dining and banking, and grants residents access to award-winning healthcare. Through expansive amenities and social, recreational, and educational opportunities, Bridgewater is a nonprofit, mission-driven organization that provides a fully supported life in retirement.

Objective


Enhancing Bridgewater’s Digital Presence for a Seamless User Experience

The goal of this project was to develop a new website for Bridgewater Retirement Community that effectively promoted the organization’s services and amenities through an intuitive, engaging, and highly functional digital platform. Designed with user experience at the forefront, the site needed to offer clear navigation, compelling visuals, and streamlined access to essential information to increase lead generation and encourage potential residents and their families to take the next step in the decision-making process.

Website User Experience

Gragg conducted in-depth research to understand website user’s needs, behaviors, and pain points, ensuring the site would be designed with real user interactions in mind. High priority was placed on building a logical, intuitive site structure to prioritize ease of navigation and accessibility. User flows were crafted to guide visitors effortlessly to key actions, such as learning more about Bridgewater, engaging with services, or making connections. The final design balanced aesthetics with functionality, creating a site that was not only visually compelling, but highly responsive and seamless across all devices.

Website Development

Gragg utilized a modular approach to develop the Bridgewater website, creating a scalable, easily maintainable site structure so the Bridgewater team could manage content simply. Performance optimization was also a priority, so Gragg employed caching strategies, image compression, and clean-code practices to enhance loading speeds. Finally, security measures such as SSL encryption, regular updates, and security plugins were implemented to safeguard user data. Extensive testing was conducted across different devices and browsers to ensure a flawless, responsive experience before launch.
