July 2017 EDU Update

Hot topics surrounding industry regulation and inquiry generation are constantly changing within our EDU sector. This monthly email is designed to help keep your finger on the pulse of the news that matters to you and your business.

This summer has brought so many developments with the Borrower Defense and Gainful Employment Regulations.  Let Gragg break it down for you.

The U.S. Department of Education has delayed Borrower Defense and Gainful Employment (“GE”). But a states attorneys general lawsuit against Education Secretary DeVos may cause trouble for the delay in Borrower Defense. The negotiated rulemaking (“neg reg”) process for GE is underway, and the cosmetology schools are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel thanks to a hopeful court ruling.
